Cape Coral’s Jaycee Park is on the chopping block. The city council and mayor want to turn this nature-lovers’ pocket of serenity into “a desired waterfront destination” with food trucks, a bar, boat slips, an ampitheatre and a view-blocking concrete barrier along the river.

Our mission is to protect the nature, serenity and neighborhood status of Jaycee Park by opposing plans that threaten the wildlife, sea life, existing uses and tranquility of the surrounding area and the park itself. Our current strategy is the collect 22,000 petition signatures to get the Save Jaycee Park Initiative on the ballot in November.
